Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Welcome
to Delhi! On your arrival, you will be received by a Taj Voyages Tour representative who will take you to your hotel. Upon
checking in and resting for some time, you can begin to visit New Delhi. Do not
miss visiting India Gate, Presidential House, and the picturesque Qutub Minar.
If you have time, you can go to Connaught Place or visit some of the local
markets. Have a good first night in Delhi!
Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing
Today,
you’ll get to see the best of both Old and New Delhi. Start your day at the
stunning Jama Masjid, then hop on a rickshaw for an exciting ride through
Chandni Chowk. After that, visit Raj Ghat, the memorial dedicated to Mahatma
Gandhi. You’ll also see the beautiful Humayun’s Tomb and the Lotus Temple. In
the evening, head back to your hotel for a restful night in Delhi.
Day 3: Agra
Breakfast
and then off to the road to Agra. On reaching, check into your hotel and start
your visit to Agra with a stopover at Itmad-ud-Daulah's Tomb, more commonly
called the "Baby Taj." Thereafter, off to Mehtab Bagh to see the
awe-inspiring sunset view of the Taj Mahal from the opposite side of the Yamuna
River. Night stay at Agra.
Day 4: Agra to Jaipur (via Fatehpur Sikri)
Rise
early for an early morning departure to watch the Taj Mahal at sunrise—a memory
to last a lifetime! Following breakfast, go to the imposing Agra Fort, a World
Heritage Site. Then, set off driving to Jaipur, breaking the journey enroute at
Fatehpur Sikri, the Mughal capital. Take time strolling through the excellently
preserved palaces and courtyards of this fascinating ghost city. Proceed to
Jaipur and into your overnight hotel.
Day 5: Jaipur Sightseeing
Begin
the day at the resplendent Amber Fort, climb up which on elephant or jeep.
Inside, marvel at the brilliant mirror work and ancient passages. Then explore
the City Palace under a guided tour with royal treasures and museums, followed
by the Jantar Mantar observatory. Try not to resist a few pictures at the Hawa
Mahal, the Palace of Winds. Evening: Either shop in the vibrant markets of
Jaipur or watch a cultural dance performance. Overnight at Jaipur.
Day 6: Jaipur to Delhi – Departure
After
breakfast, you’ll head back to Delhi, where your tour comes to a close. You’ll
be dropped off at the airport or your hotel, depending on your travel plans.
